SWMU 74 – Fuel Pipelines and Hydrant Pits

SWMU 74 consists of specific portions of the JP-5 and diesel fuel marine (DFM) fuel pipelines, and the aircraft hydrant refueling pits.  Past evaluations identified leaks at locations along the fuel line and valve pits.  The pipelines which served the valve pits were decommissioned.

Subsurface soil samples and groundwater samples were collected from this SWMU. Analytical data reported the presence of compounds in groundwater associated with fuel contamination from past and present activities at this site; however, soil does not appear to be contaminated significantly above any RBCs.
