SWMU 72 – Building 31 – Public Works Department

SWMU 72 immediately surrounds Building 31, the Public Works Department (PWD). The majority of the area is covered by pavement and the outer reaches covered by gravel/dirt. The area surrounding the building is best described as a level parking/storage lot. Records review identified historic small spills, stains, and stressed vegetation associated with activities including facility, vehicle, and equipment maintenance and refueling.

From the analytical results of the subsurface soil and groundwater samples collected at the site, it is unlikely that the environment has been negatively impacted by past and present operations at the Public Works Department.

Status

• The RCRA 7003 Administrative Order on Consent recommends a Determination of Corrective Action Complete Without Controls for Building 31.
