SWMU 64 – Former Skeet Range at Ofstie Field

SWMU 64 is located in an open level grass area along Ofstie Airfield. Historically, the area was used as a skeet range in the 1940s. Currently, the area is overgrown with tall grass and other vegetation and there are no signs of staining or stressed vegetation.

Surface soil samples were collected and analyzed for lead to characterize the former Skeet Range at Ofstie Airfield. From review of the analytical data, it is concluded that there has been no impact from past activities at this site.

Status

• A Determination of Corrective Action Complete Without Controls is recommended for SWMU 64 in the RCRA 7003 Administrative Order on Consent.
