SWMU 63 – Former Pistol Range at BEQ

SWMU 63 is located west of Langley Drive and north of the Commissary, at the site of the newly constructed bachelor’s enlisted quarters (BEQ). Historic records reviews identified this area as a former pistol range. Currently, the area holds the 11 BEQ structures and the majority of the site is covered with new vegetation.

Surface soil samples were collected and analyzed for lead to characterize the former Pistol Range at the new Bachelors’ Enlisted Quarters. From review of the analytical data, it is concluded that there has been no impact from past activities at this site.

Status

• A Determination of Corrective Action Complete Without Controls is recommended for SWMU 63 in the RCRA 7003 Administrative Order on Consent.
