SWMU 28 – Bundy WWTP Sludge Drying Beds

The seven concrete sludge drying beds are centrally located in the domestic sewage treatment plant serving the Bundy training area. A concrete area separates three beds to the west and four beds to the east; grass areas border the beds and a steep grade uphill is present to the west. The area is utilized on a limited basis due to the minimal amount of flow moving through the plant since the operational closure of Naval Station Roosevelt Roads on March 31, 2004 and the transition of the facility into caretaker status. This unit does not manage or generate RCRA hazardous wastes or constituents. NAPR has no knowledge or evidence of systematic and routine releases of hazardous wastes or constituents from this SWMU.
