AOC F – Monitored Natural Attenuation Sites 124, 731, 734, 2824B, 1738, 520, 735, and 1995
AOC F consists of eight individual sites from which underground storage tanks were removed. Following the removal of the USTs and investigations, the sites were recommended for remedial action by monitored natural attenuation (MNA). The MNA included separate protocols for each of the sites, which included soil sampling and/or groundwater sampling on a quarterly or annual basis depending upon the site.
Status
- The RCRA 7003 Administrative Order on Consent recommends a Work Plan to complete Additional Site Characterization for sites at AOC F.
- The Final Monitored Natural Attenuation Work Plan for AOC F was submitted on October 9, 2007.
- EPA provided comments on the Work Plan on December 11, 2007.
- The Navy proposed to finalize Work Plan after well installation development, well installation, and the first sampling event are complete on May 20, 2008.
- EPA determined Navy's May 20, 2008 responses are acceptable on July 23, 2008.
- First Quarter Sampling was completed May 2008.
- Second Quarter Sampling was completed August 2008.
- The Revised Final II Monitored Natural Attenuation Work Plan -and- The Final MNA - Year 6, 1st Quarter Report was submitted to the EPA on November 21, 2008.
- The Final Monitored Natural Attenuation Year 6, 2nd Quarter Report was submitted to the EPA March 5, 2009.
- The Final Monitored Natural Attenuation Year 6, 3rd Quarter Report was submitted to the EPA January 9, 2009.
- The Final Monitored Natural Attenuation Year 7, 2nd Quarter Report was submitted to the EPA December 30, 2009.
- The Final Monitored Natural Attenuation Year 7, Annual Report was submitted to the EPA December 30, 2009.
- The Draft Monitored Natural Attenuation Year 7, Quarter 3 Report was submitted to the EPA January 6, 2010.
